Waste and Recycling
The municipal environment authority oversees compliance with the Act on Waste and waste management regulations.
In Malax, waste management is handled by Ab Stormossen Oy. You can find sorting guides, information on waste management, and collection points for households, businesses, and agriculture on their website. Stormossen maintains a recycling station and several Ecopoints in the municipality. Their locations, opening hours, and information on sorting and fees can be found on Stormossen´s website.

Vaasa Region Waste Board manages official tasks for organizing waste management as well as other development and monitoring tasks in the field of waste management within the operational area of Ab Stormossen Oy for the municipalities of Malax, Korsholm, Vörå, and Korsnäs. The city of Vaasa is the host municipality.
